  31. For how long? I used mine for a year or so, and the problems crept up slowly
  32. until it finaly came down on me like an avalanche!

  34. So far there are NO utilities that can rescue a sufficently-damaged AFS-
  35. partition. Mistakes like writing "device=hd0:" instead of "device=HD1:" or
  36. errors like "wrong dir id" are disasterous. If you do the first, forget about
  37. your partition. Disksalv4b can rescue about >>> 5% <<< of your files - al-
  38. though you'll get 20% back... (in Mb:s, that is. 75% of the "rescued" files"
  39. are crap)
